What do the Cuban food revolution and the Buddha's discourse on the ‘Four Kinds of Nutriments’ have to say about imagining our food systems anew?
Together, Ron Berezan, organic farmer, permaculture teacher and long-time friend of Cuba, and Ronit Jinich founder of Dharma Praxis and host of The Living Room, will consider what it means to imagine a different way of feeding ourselves, our loved ones and our communities through the Cuban example. They will draw connections between the Buddha's last teaching on ‘Becoming an island onto yourself’, the 'Four Kinds of Nutriments' and the ongoing feat of collaborative imagination Cuban farmers and permaculturalists have been engaged in since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
